Highland High School

Highland High School

The fall 2010 portion of the Music Is Sick! Tour officially kicks off tomorrow at Highland High School in Salt Lake City, UT.  Everyone in G2 is excited to participate and bring some rock music to the kids at the school.  Meet and greets after the shows are generally the favorite part of touring for the band so we’re all looking forward to that as well.  There’s a new show lined up with plenty of changes to the stage.  It’s gonna be an extremely fun tour.  We’ll have some photos and such after the show tomorrow.

Music Makes Music has postponed the benefit concert that was going to take place on August 28th to a future date.  It will most likely take place in November.  Any tickets that were purchased will still be valid at that time.

Zombie Prom Show Cancelled – At Least For G2

Posted: 13th August 2010 by scott in Tour, Utah

Unfortunately, Going Second will not be able to make the Zombie Prom show tomorrow in Ogden, UT. It’s still a great cause to help prevent juvenile diabetes so go and have fun anyway! …but G2 won’t be able to be there.

Going Second will be playing Zombie Prom, a benefit show for juvenile diabetes, on Aug 14th, 2010 at Union Station in Ogden, UT.  It’s going to be a ton of fun.  Dress like zombies and show your support and help put an end to juvenile diabetes.  The event starts at 7:00p and goes through 10:00p.

Tickets will be $10 online and $15 at the door for adults ages 12+ and $6 online and $10 at the door for children ages 6-11.  Get your tickets here or find more information on and rsvp to the event here.

In other news, we are continuing to fill our schedule up and will have new dates announced soon.

For any of you guitar players out there, now you can learn what all of Mike’s parts are for the songs on “Wake Up”. Check the video section in the coming days for additional songs.

Here’ s a video recap of what Going Second has been doing with the Music Makes Music Foundation this past year. We will be starting another tour in August and will be touring with Music Makes music through June. We’ll also have additional Going Second shows going on most of that time. More on that soon. Anyhoo, enjoy:

Here’s a tasty little video from a recent performance in Redlands, CA. Enjoy!

G2 DinoDue to circumstances out of our control, the Ogden, UT Music Makes Music Benefit Show has been postponed until September.  We’ll fill you in with more details in the near future.

In the meantime, Going Second is writing for their new album and has some great things going on there.  We’ll hopefully be able to get it mostly finished by the end of the summer and have something late this year or spring of next year.   We’ll be hitting the road hard in September and will be touring through June, with a small break for Christmas and New Year’s Day.  Stay posted for more updates soon.

And….go. We’re on our way to Los Angeles to finish up the last leg of the Spring 2010 Music Makes Music tour. For some reason, it’s always got to rain or snow on our way out of SLC too. It must be a G2 touring tradition or something. The weather in LA should be awesome though. We’re all excited.

This tour has been so much fun and we’ve seen thousands upon thousands of teenagers that went nuts at shows. Things are looking great for the future as we’re already booked through most of the rest of the year, with some holes here and there that will be ironed out in the coming month or so. We’re all very excited to continue the work we’re doing. Look for some new music out at some point either late this year or early next year also.

Well, I’d better run and have some snacks. I’ll keep you posted with more updates.
